Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Bernside!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandman blocks the body kick.
Bernside lands a glancing blow to the side of Sandman's head.
Bernside misses the shot to the body.
Bernside looks to throw the jab but Sandman is out of range.
Bernside fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Sandman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bernside sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sandman somewhat.
Sandman scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bernside looks for the body kick but Sandman saw that one coming.

and Sandman counters with a single leg into guard. Bernside didn't expect that.

Bernside utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Sandman scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Bernside stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Sandman tries for a takedown but Bernside sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bernside misses with a jab, cross combination.
David Bernside is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bernside throws a wild body kick that Sandman sees coming a mile off.
Sandman takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sandman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bernside's head.

Sandman throws a strike but Bernside avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Sandman lands a couple of digs.

Sandman stands up over Bernside, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Sandman is pushing down on Bernside's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bernside is fighting to maintain full guard but Sandman has managed to sneak the leg through.
Sandman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bernside with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bernside is looking for a sweep. Sandman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bernside is looking to control Sandman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bernside avoid being mounted?

Bernside keeping moving, preventing Sandman from controlling successfully.
