PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Milan Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Tim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Milan Kent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Tim!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Tim with the counter takedown but Kent avoids it easily.
Kent shoots for a double leg takedown but Tim sprawls well. He's pushed Kent's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kent tries to close the distance and clinch but Tim swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kent shoots in looking for a takedown. Tim tries to sprawl out of it but Kent keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tim manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And Tim tries to counter it with a takedown but Kent pushes his down on his head and steps out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kent tries to clinch there but Tim circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kent gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Tim decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kent's guard.
Tim throws a big elbow that misses.
Tim tries to free his leg and advance position but Kent is retaining full guard.
Tim is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Tim throws a strike but Kent rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kent trying to control but Tim is working from the bottom.

Tim is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kent tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Milan Kent. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kent breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tim slaps away a takedown attempt from Kent, before circling back to the center of the mat.
And Tim tries to counter it with a takedown but Kent pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Kent fails with an attempt to clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

so Tim counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Kent is trying to keep Tim in close.
Kent might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tim wants to pass the guard but Kent is keeping the position.
Tim forces his way into half guard.
Kent taking some punishment here, with Tim in his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kent is breathing heavily.
Tim working the head and body with strikes.
Tim looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Tim working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Tim works his way into side control.
Tim advances to mount.
Tim lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tim has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kent's face.
Tim with a couple of short strikes.


Kent is rocked!
Tim lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Oh Kent is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tim scoring with strikes but Kent is staying in there.
Kent is bucking up trying to escape but Tim cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tim with the ground and pound from mount.
Tim cracks Kent with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Tim!
