The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Byers rushes Master and presses him up against the cage.

Master has picked Byers up - he's going for a ride! Master dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Byers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Master on the ground.
Master is trying to control. Byers wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Master is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Byers sees it coming and defends easily.

Master seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Byers has recovered full guard.

Master is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Master pushing down on Byers's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Byers wants to get back to his feet.
Master is looking to advance position but Byers won't allow it.

Master tries to move into full mount but can't pass Byers's legs.

Master is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Byers is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Byers wants to get back to his feet.

Master is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Byers knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Byers is not content to let Master control the position.

Master tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Master has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
