Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Taiwei Neo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Filip Van Tilen!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Tilen pushes Neo up against the cage in a clinch.
Van Tilen using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Neo has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Neo lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Van Tilen backwards.
Van Tilen misses with a knee to the head.
Neo turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Neo manages to end up in side control.
Neo lands a few punches from side control.
Neo sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Van Tilen is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Van Tilen takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Neo scores with a couple of short elbows.
Van Tilen is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Neo scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Van Tilen is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Neo can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Taiwei Neo!
