The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nixon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Master manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Nixon manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Nixon working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Master turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Master tries for a kimura but Nixon is defending well.

Master has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Nixon is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Master yanks on the arm and Nixon is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Master.
