Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alva Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alva Bean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Davies!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies throws a right and a left that both miss.

Bean tries to sprawl but Davies drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Bean makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bean.
Bean is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Davies makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Bean wants to sweep but no luck.
Davies looking to pass the guard.
Bean has Davies pulled in close to control his posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davies wants to get up but he can't break Bean's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bean manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Davies manages to get himself to full guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bean's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Bean is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Bean would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Bean takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bean seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Davies for as long as he can get away with.

Bean motions for Davies to come forward. Bean throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Davies closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bean did well to prevent Davies getting side control.

Davies throws a sloppy head kick and Bean moves out of range easily.

Bean drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Davies is trying to force a seperation but Bean has the dominant position.

Davies fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bean.
Joe Davies seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Davies closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bean's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Bean manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bean will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bean seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Davies really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bean. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bean slips a nice elbow through Davies's hands, connecting with Davies's forehead.
Davies pushes Bean off looking to stand but Bean dives back in and keeps control.
Alva Bean overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bean looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Bean is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Davies is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
