The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcado connects with a nice looking jab.
bo is looking to clinch.
bo slips a jab from Mcado.
A right-left combo lands from Mcado.

Mcado scores with a hook to the body. bo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
bo is still on wobbly legs! Can Mcado finish him?

bo seems to have recovered his senses.
Mcado misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from bo.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

bo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mcado fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. bo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Mcado counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Ben Mcado has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy bo.

bo has Mcado pressed against the cage, preventing Mcado from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Mcado is pressed up against the cage. bo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mcado down to the mat. Mcado avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Mcado digs a good body shot into bo's ribs.
bo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mcado but Mcado pushes him off and we're back to square one.

bo told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
bo is working for takedown but Mcado is calmly controlling the position for now.

Mcado lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - bo can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Mcado and bo drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Mcado.
