Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chief Curry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carver misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Carver throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Curry lands a nice hook to Carver's body. Carver takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Curry moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Carver postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Carver is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Curry wants to get back to his feet but Carver is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Curry is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Curry uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Carver has time to react.
Curry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Curry gets to his feet - Carver follows without any prompting.
Jack Carver has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Chief Curry is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Carver takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
