Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daichi Nomura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masaaki Kanagawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daichi Nomura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Masaaki Kanagawa!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanagawa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nomura.
Nomura shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kanagawa napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Nomura works to advance to full mount. Kanagawa defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Kanagawa tries to lock up and control but Nomura gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nomura looking for a guillotine from mount but Kanagawa is having none of it.
Nomura wants to finish this one by submission but Kanagawa is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Nomura.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nomura is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kanagawa has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Kanagawa has left one of his arms exposed and Nomura doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Kanagawa screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Daichi Nomura!
