PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Ventura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Mac Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns has chosen as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Anthony Ventura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Connor Mac Burns!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ventura scores with a push kick.
Burns misses with a body shot.
Burns throws a shot from downtown. Ventura moves away and avoids it.
Ventura tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Burns paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Ventura rushes Burns and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ventura.

Burns pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Burns keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Burns connects with a looping right hand.
Burns waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ventura.
Ventura moves forwards but Burns connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Burns works Ventura's body with a nice hook.
Ventura looks for the body kick but Burns saw that one coming.
A little jabbing left from Burns on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Burns blocks the body kick.
Burns has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Burns looks to land a right hand but Ventura moved out of range.
Ventura throws a nice inside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Burns tests Ventura's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ventura tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sloppy strikes from Ventura. Those never looked like landing.
Burns let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ventura misses with a straight left.
Ventura throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Burns sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Burns closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Connor Mac Burns is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Burns lands a nice shot to the body.
Ventura moves out of range of the strikes.
Burns lands a slapping body shot.
Ventura throws a push kick but Burns slaps the foot to one side.
Ventura swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Burns counters with a left to the body.
Ventura is breathing heavily.
Ventura throws a sloppy body shot
and Burns counters with a nice uppercut.
Ventura is looking to clinch.
Burns now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Burns cracks Ventura with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ventura looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Burns finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ventura throws a hook but Burns avoids it easily.
The fighters circling - Burns throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ventura tries to clinch there but Burns circles away.
Burns wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Burns cracks Ventura on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Ventura falls backwards against the cage. Burns follows up with more strikes that drop Ventura to his knees. Burns keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Ventura! This one is all over!
