Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Parker Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takashi Kadota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Parker Phoenix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Takashi Kadota!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Eddie Farnsworth and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kadota throws a lazy right hand but Phoenix sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kadota shoots for a double leg takedown but Phoenix sprawls well. He's pushed Kadota's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kadota throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kadota wants to slow Phoenix down by chopping away at his legs.
Kadota pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Takashi Kadota seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Phoenix dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Kadota throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Phoenix's waist but Phoenix gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kadota off to one side.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kadota looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Phoenix is fending him off so far but Kadota persists. Nope, Phoenix circles away and we're back to standing.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kadota.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kadota stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Phoenix swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Phoenix lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Kadota jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Phoenix walks away with a smile on his face. Kadota gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Phoenix, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
