The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gamboa tries to clinch there but Mccullough circles away.
Gamboa closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gamboa lands in his opponent's guard.

Gamboa drops back looking for a leg! Mccullough is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mccullough manages to kick Gamboa off! Gamboa jumps back into Mccullough's guard.

Mccullough isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gamboa stacks Mccullough on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gamboa!

I really don't envy Gamboa right now.
Mccullough controlling the position well here. Gamboa rolled but Mccullough kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Mccullough parries the strikes from Gamboa easily there. Gamboa is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mccullough to escape.

Mccullough shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gamboa sprawls well. Gamboa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mccullough gets slowly back to his feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dirk Mccullough will probably get the nod.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mccullough jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gamboa walks away with a smile on his face. Mccullough gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Mccullough counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
