The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davidyan lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

and Mambo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Mambo shoots in looking for a takedown but Davidyan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mambo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mambo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mambo holds on and takes a little breather.

Mambo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Davidyan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Davidyan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gurgen Davidyan.
