PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Kravac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wojciech Kras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kras is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Run Free. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Samuel Kravac!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Wojciech Kras!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kras drives through with a takedown into Kravac's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Kravac has control of Kras's left arm, preventing Kras from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kravac has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Kras has passed into side control.
Kravac is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Kravac controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.

Kras is looking for a kimura but Kravac is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kras to get the leverage.

Kras is working for a kimura but Kravac is defending it quite comfortably.
Kravac's coaches at Tycoon Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kravac is pressing down on Kras's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kravac controlling Kras's posture.
Kras wants to pass the guard but Kravac is keeping the position.
Kras postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Kras throws a strike but Kravac rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kras not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kravac stays in close to Kras's body and controls the position.
Kravac passes Kras's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Kravac is working for a submission of some sort.

Kravac is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kravac moves into full mount! Kras won't be happy about that!
Kravac trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Kras is looking to get to half guard.
You get the feeling that Kras really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Kravac is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kras has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kravac has control of Kras's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kras regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Kras wants to control but Kravac is having none of it.
Kravac blocks Kras's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Kravac goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Kras is on top in guard.

Kravac is looking for a triangle but Kras pushes his legs off easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kravac utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kras throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kravac works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kras really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kravac. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kravac has his hands on Kras's head, controlling the position.

Kras has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kravac to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kras is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kravac pulls down on the head and he's put Kras to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Samuel Kravac!
