Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Assad darts in and clinches Solis up against the cage.
Solis jumps guard but Assad stands there with Solis around his waist. Solis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Solis ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Solis no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Assad gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Solis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Assad swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Assad instigates a clinch.
Solis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Assad just stands there and leans against the cage.
Assad gets through Solis's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

It looks like Francis Solis has been cut.
Solis tries for a takedown but Assad manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Francis Solis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Assad has had enough of the clinch but Solis keeps him there for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Assad can't break the clinch.
Solis tries to pull guard but Assad forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Assad.
Solis is working for takedown but Assad is calmly controlling the position for now.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

A short uppercut from Assad.
Assad is working Solis over against the cage.
Solis is trying to pull guard but Assad has him pressed against the cage.
Assad lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Solis.
Solis is looking for a takedown.
Solis is breathing heavily.
Solis wants to take the fight to the mat but Assad manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Assad has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Solis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A right hook to the body lands for Assad.

Assad digs a right hand underneath Solis's ribcage. Solis let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Assad lands a shot to the body.
Assad wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Assad tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Assad lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Solis is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Assad pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Oh Solis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Assad scores with a body shot.
Assad goes for a small jab and connects. Now Assad goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Solis stumbles back but Assad runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Solis to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Solis will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
