The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lauaki keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Lauaki misses with the combination.
Lauaki just misses with a punch to the body.
Preston avoids a punch combination nicely.
A head kick misses from Lauaki.
Sione Lauaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - Lauaki throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Preston takes one to the side of the head.
Lauaki swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lauaki clinches up against the cage.
Lauaki has Preston pressed against the cage.
Preston tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Preston drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lauaki gets the underhooks and prevents it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Preston drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lauaki pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lauaki throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Lauaki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lauaki buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Preston wants to clinch.
Lauaki loads up on a big right hand but Preston slips the punch.
Lauaki swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lauaki looks gassed!
Lauaki throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lauaki rushes Preston and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lauaki is trying to break the clinch but Preston has him pressed against the cage.
Lauaki breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lauaki misses with a hook. Preston ducked under it nicely.
Lauaki throws a hook but Preston avoids it easily.
Lauaki misses with a head kick.
Lauaki throws a series of punches but Preston moves out of range.
Preston closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Preston wants to control but Lauaki is keeping him busy.
Preston is chipping away with strikes.
Preston advances to mount.
Preston working for a guillotine from mount but Lauaki is in no mood to give up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lauaki is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Preston locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Lauaki is forced to tap!
