Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Mayhem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Stanwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mayhem drives through with a takedown into guard.

Stanwell looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Stanwell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mayhem doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mayhem manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Mayhem shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stanwell pinned against the cage. Stanwell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Mayhem waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Stanwell. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Stanwell to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Stanwell shoots in but Mayhem avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Stanwell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mayhem's waist but Mayhem gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stanwell off to one side.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mayhem lands a nice short elbow.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Mayhem's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mayhem looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Stanwell has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mayhem is working away from the top position though.

Mayhem tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stanwell knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Stanwell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mayhem throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stanwell.
Stanwell tries for a takedown but Mayhem sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Stanwell feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
