Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Truman Pruitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Sizemore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Sizemore has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Truman Pruitt's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Truman Pruitt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michael Sizemore!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pruitt clinches up against the cage.
Pruitt tries to pull guard but Sizemore holds him up against the cage and eventually Pruitt drops back down to his feet.
Sizemore with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Sizemore is looking to take this one to the mat.

Sizemore jumps guard.
Pruitt stays in close to Sizemore's body and controls the position.

Sizemore throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Sizemore wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pruitt showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pruitt's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sizemore working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pruitt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pruitt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pruitt trying to stand up but can't free himself from Sizemore's guard.
Pruitt slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sizemore doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Sizemore manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Pruitt fails to pull guard.
Sizemore tries for a takedown. No joy.
Sizemore tries to score a body lock takedown but Pruitt shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Truman Pruitt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Sizemore.

Pruitt tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Pruitt has Sizemore pushed against the cage.

Pruitt pulls Sizemore into guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Sizemore working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Sizemore gets to his feet - Pruitt follows without any prompting.
Michael Sizemore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sizemore fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Pruitt drives through and clinches with Sizemore against the cage.
Pruitt blocks an elbow strike.
Pruitt makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Sizemore misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Pruitt.
Sizemore goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pruitt prevents it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sizemore wants a takedown but no success here.
The referee is keeping an eye on Pruitt - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Sizemore tries for a takedown but Pruitt manages to get underhooks.

Sizemore gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Pruitt regains guard.
Sizemore looks winded!

Pruitt has his foot on Sizemore's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sizemore works his way back into a safe position though.

Pruitt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sizemore can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sizemore working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pruitt's head.
Pruitt keeping moving, preventing Sizemore from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sizemore distracts Pruitt with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Pruitt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sizemore doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sizemore manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sizemore is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Sizemore dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Sizemore changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pruitt tries to avoid it but Sizemore manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pruitt to the ground. Pruitt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pruitt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

and Pruitt counters with a left and a right that stings Sizemore.
Sizemore fails with the takedown.
Truman Pruitt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Sizemore.

Pruitt gets tackled into the cage by Sizemore. Sizemore maintains the clinch.
Pruitt will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Sizemore up against the cage.

Pruitt decides to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sizemore trying to control the position from guard on top but Pruitt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pruitt has momentary wrist control but Sizemore slips an elbow through the middle.

Sizemore tries to free his leg and advance position but Pruitt is retaining full guard.

Pruitt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sizemore can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sizemore lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Sizemore is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pruitt wants to stand and escape but Sizemore is having none of it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sizemore got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pruitt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sizemore has managed to get both his arms back between Pruitt's legs - danger averted.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Sizemore lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Sizemore scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Sizemore slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Pruitt is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Sizemore cracks Pruitt with a big elbow.
Sizemore is looking to take a break and control but Pruitt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Pruitt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sizemore on the ground.
Sizemore is chipping away with strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sizemore is staying tight to Pruitt's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Sizemore stands up.

Pruitt tries to keep at a distance but Sizemore has taken the fight into the clinch.
Pruitt is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sizemore to keep the fight standing.

Sizemore turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sizemore manages to end up in side control.
Pruitt bucks up and tries to throw Sizemore off but instead Sizemore has got his back!
Pruitt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sizemore has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Pruitt is trying to defend against the choke here but Sizemore has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Sizemore Tightens the hold and Pruitt taps out furiously! Sizemore displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Michael Sizemore!
