Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Tuchel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Slogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Thomas Tuchel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, James Slogan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuchel blocks a jab.
Slogan tries to close the distance and clinch but Tuchel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Slogan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tuchel.
Tuchel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Slogan sprawls well. Slogan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tuchel gets slowly back to his feet.
Tuchel scores with a push kick.
James Slogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A punch combination from Slogan misses.
Slogan throws a body punch but Tuchel moves out of range.
Tuchel attempts a counter takedown but Slogan avoids it well and moves away.
Slogan tries to clinch there but Tuchel circles away.
As Slogan looks to move away, Tuchel throws a big counter combo but Slogan just gets out of the way.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slogan moves to clinch but Tuchel breaks away
and Tuchel counters with a two punch combo.
Slogan misses with a body shot.
Slogan pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Slogan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Slogan wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Tuchel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tuchel gets cracked there but stands up to it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tuchel showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Slogan.
Slogan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Tuchel clinches with his opponent.

Tuchel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Slogan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Slogan gets tackled into the cage by Tuchel. Tuchel maintains the clinch.
Tuchel goes for a takedown attempt but Slogan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Slogan looks to land a right hand but Tuchel moved out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Slogan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
James Slogan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tuchel looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Slogan misses with a double jab

and Tuchel counters by moving into the clinch.
Tuchel is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Slogan is defending well.
Slogan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Tuchel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tuchel shoots in but no luck this time.
Tuchel shoots in for a takedown but Slogan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Tuchel connects with a body shot that sends Slogan's belly button to the back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tuchel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Slogan.
Slogan connects with a looping right hand.
Slogan tries to clinch up.

Tuchel drives through and clinches with Slogan against the cage.
Tuchel has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Slogan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Tuchel is working for takedown but Slogan is calmly controlling the position for now.
Tuchel is breathing heavily.

Tuchel breaks the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nice takedown defense from Slogan. No joy for Tuchel on that attempt.
Slogan cracks Tuchel with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Tuchel tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Slogan pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Tuchel is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Slogan!
