Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grayson Rambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Winning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Winning has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Grayson Rambo has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grayson Rambo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Winning!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winning shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rambo as he avoids it easily.

Rambo looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Rambo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rambo.
Winning keeps the fight on the outside.

Rambo scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Rambo wants to take a breather but Winning is having none of it.
Winning is trying to control but can't.
Rambo tries to stand but can't do so whilst Winning controls his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Winning is refusing to be controlled, as Rambo sits in half guard.
Rambo landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Rambo is keen to just control but Winning is a slippery customer.

Rambo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Winning tries to buck Rambo off but Rambo is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rambo content to control rather than advance.
Winning is not content to let Rambo control the position.
Rambo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Grayson Rambo just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Winning closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rambo to the mat! Rambo manages to get full guard.

and Rambo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Winning won't be happy with that.

Winning has a hand on Rambo's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Rambo takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Winning wants to control but Rambo is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Winning counters with a takedown into side control.

Rambo sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Rambo is trying to stand back up but Winning is controlling him
Rambo wants to get back to full guard but Winning has passed into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Winning tries to control but Rambo wriggling away.
Rambo tries to hold on but Winning postures up.
Winning lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Rambo wants to hold on but Winning pushes him away.
Winning lands a big elbow.

Winning goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Rambo turns into him and now he's in Winning's guard.

Rambo stands and steps away. Winning gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Rambo gets to his feet. Winning looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Rambo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Rambo moves into full mount! Winning won't be happy about that!
Rambo avoids the attempt from Winning to control.
Winning is looking to get to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Grayson Rambo will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Rambo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Rambo is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Winning is trying to work for a sweep but Rambo has mounted him!

Rambo goes for an armbar but Winning turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Winning.
Winning postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Winning trying to control the position from guard on top but Rambo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Winning keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
James Winning has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Winning fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Rambo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Rambo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Winning dives on top into guard.
Winning stops Rambo from standing up.
Winning must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Winning's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Grayson Rambo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Rambo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Winning manages to get himself to full guard.

Grayson Rambo showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Rambo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
