The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cold scores with a head kick. Wells tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Cold closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Wells tries to roll over but Cold keeps him under control.
Wells pushes Cold off looking to stand but Cold dives back in and keeps control.
Wells is looking to get back to is feet but Cold passes into side control.

Wells misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Cold drives through and clinches with Wells against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Wells.

Cold has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Wells is trying to keep an underhook but Cold manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Cold looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Wells has one foot on Cold's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Wells tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Cold looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Cold drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Cold decides to stand back up. Cold steps back and let's Wells get back to his feet.
Wells connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cold momentarily.

Cold moves into range and clinches up with Wells.
Wells tries to pull guard but Cold forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Wells fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cold looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cold uses his free foot to push down on Wells's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wells.

Cold stands up from mount. Strange move.

Cold has Wells up against the cage in a clinch.
Wells wants to get back to striking at distance but Cold won't allow it.
Cold prevents Wells from breaking the clinch.

Cold gets control of Wells's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cold will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Cold has his foot on Wells's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wells works his way back into a safe position though.

Cold seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Well Cold has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
