The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeSalvo misses with a low kick.
Barnes attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
DeSalvo tries to counter with a takedown but Barnes is quick to defend against it.
DeSalvo shoots and misses
and Barnes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Barnes throws a right hand that misses

and DeSalvo counters with a single leg into guard. Barnes didn't expect that.
Barnes is wriggling around but DeSalvo manages to pass to half guard.

Barnes pushes DeSalvo off looking to stand but DeSalvo dives back in and keeps control.

DeSalvo is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Barnes is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
