Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ragnar Ragnarsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis comes into the arena with High by Jimmie's Chicken Shack blaring out of the sound system. Ragnar Ragnarsson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricky Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ragnar Ragnarsson!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ragnarsson.
Davis on the wrong end of a nice hook.
It looks like Ricky Davis has been cut.
Davis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ragnarsson moves into the clinch.
Davis manages to pull guard.
Ragnarsson wants to stand but Davis is controlling his posture from full guard.
Davis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Ragnarsson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Davis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ragnarsson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ragnarsson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ragnarsson told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Davis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ragnarsson defends well.

Ragnarsson is looking to stand up but Davis won't let him.
Davis looking for a sweep. Not yet Davis, not yet.
Ragnarsson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Davis is on top in guard.
Ragnarsson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ragnarsson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Ragnarsson pulls Davis in close to prevent any damage.
Davis postures up in Ragnarsson's guard and throws a big left but Ragnarsson blocks it.

Ragnarsson wants to control but Davis passes easily into half guard.

Davis seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
