Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Sharpshooter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Minor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minor has chosen Until The End Of Time as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharpshooter misses with a hook.
Minor leaves Sharpshooter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A countering left hand to the body from Minor misses.
Minor scores with a shot to the body.
Minor throws out a loose jab but Sharpshooter uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sharpshooter tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Minor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sharpshooter throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Minor stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sharpshooter closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Minor lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Sharpshooter is pushing Minor up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Sharpshooter prevents Minor from breaking the clinch.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Sharpshooter's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Derek Minor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sharpshooter looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sharpshooter connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Minor changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Sharpshooter wants to clinch but Minor slips to the side
and Minor cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rick Sharpshooter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sharpshooter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sharpshooter shoots in for a double leg but Minor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Minor ! But no joy.
Minor circles away from the clinch attempt.

Minor swings widly with a right hand
and Sharpshooter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sharpshooter doesn't manage to clinch there - Minor circles away.

Minor looks to land a right hand but Sharpshooter moved out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Minor digs a good body shot into Sharpshooter's ribs.
Minor tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sharpshooter was well out of range. Poor timing from Minor .
Sharpshooter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Minor throws out the jab.
Sharpshooter scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Minor misses the jab.
Minor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sharpshooter manages to avoid it.
A telegraphed right hand from Minor misses the target.
Sharpshooter avoids the body shot from Minor .
Sharpshooter went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Sharpshooter scores with a body shot.
Minor looks winded!
Sharpshooter throws a head kick but Minor moves out of range.
A nice side step and Minor releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Sharpshooter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Minor moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sharpshooter fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sharpshooter drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sharpshooter gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Sharpshooter connects with a right hand. Minor shakes it off.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sharpshooter lands a glancing blow to the side of Minor 's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sharpshooter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Minor .
Minor lands with a shot to the body.
Sharpshooter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Minor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sharpshooter advances to full mount.
Sharpshooter controlling his opponent.
Sharpshooter working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Minor turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Sharpshooter off and cradles Minor 's limp body as Sharpshooter celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Rick Sharpshooter!
