The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frederick loads up on a big right hand but Poroshenko slips the punch.

As Frederick backs off Poroshenko throws a huge counter combo but Frederick manages to avoid it all.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Poroshenko has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Frederick throws a body punch but Poroshenko moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Frederick drops Poroshenko with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Poroshenko looks back up at him and smiles so Frederick waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
No luck for Poroshenko with that takedown attempt.
Cedrick Frederick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poroshenko uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Frederick.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Poroshenko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Frederick doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Poroshenko.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Poroshenko accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That was a close round but I would say that Cedrick Frederick will probably get the nod.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cedrick Frederick will probably get the nod.
