Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akoni Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norman Crowley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crowley comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Iron Man - Black Sabbath kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Akoni Gray has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akoni Gray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Norman Crowley!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crowley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gray swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gray uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Crowley.
Nice defenses there by Gray.
Norman Crowley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crowley closes the distance and clinches.
Gray lands a right hand.
A right handed body shot lands from Gray.
Gray lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Crowley looking to throw knees to the head but Gray is blocking nicely.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Gray takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Gray manages to break the clinch.
A jab from Gray does it's job there.
Gray wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A nice leg kick lands there from Gray.
Crowley looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Crowley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gray sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Crowley somewhat.
Crowley is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Gray scoring well with a low kick there.
Crowley sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Crowley fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gray was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Gray throws a good cross that connects.
Crowley tries to clinch
and Gray counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Norman Crowley has been cut.
Gray throws a nice inside leg kick.
Akoni Gray is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gray avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gray circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gray throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Crowley tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Crowley wants to clinch but Gray slips to the side
and Gray counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Gray seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Crowley tries to clinch but Gray moves away
and Gray counters with a stiff right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gray lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Crowley is rocked!
Gray tests Crowley's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Crowley is still on wobbly legs! Can Gray finish him?
Gray lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Crowley misses with a body shot
and Gray scores with a counter punch that sends Crowley to the canvas! Gray smells blood - he's punishing Crowley with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Crowley has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Akoni Gray!
After the fight, Akoni Gray was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
