The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vermeer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Curtis throws out the jab.
Curtis takes a swing at Vermeer's ribcage but misses.
Vermeer lands a nice shot that snaps Curtis's head back.

Vermeer let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Curtis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vermeer manages to avoid it.

Vermeer walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.


It looks like Jochem Vermeer has been cut.

Jochem Vermeer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Curtis moves forwards but Vermeer connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Curtis ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Vermeer takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Vermeer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Curtis manages to avoid it.
It looked like Curtis was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Vermeer.
Curtis throws a series of punches but Vermeer moves out of range.

Vermeer lands with a right hand.

A little jabbing left from Vermeer on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Curtis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Vermeer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Curtis.
Vermeer thuds a left hand into Curtis's body.
Curtis ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

and Curtis counters with a straight right hand.
Vermeer takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Curtis connects with a crisp jab.

Curtis fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Curtis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vermeer.
Curtis throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Vermeer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Curtis pushes Vermeer up against the cage in a clinch.
Curtis digs a right hand underneath Vermeer's ribcage. Vermeer let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Vermeer misses with a hook to the ribs.

Curtis blocks a body shot from Vermeer.
A right hook to the body lands for Curtis.
Vermeer looks winded!
Curtis prevents a body shot from Vermeer.
Vermeer looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Curtis scores with a shoulder strike.
Curtis lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Curtis drops Vermeer onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Vermeer is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Curtis lands a right hand that snaps the head of Vermeer backwards.
Curtis lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Vermeer to his knees! Curtis keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
