Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Cristian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Cristian had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 136.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Carlos Silva was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Cristian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlos Silva!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cristian lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cristian is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Cristian circles away and we're back to standing.
Cristian really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Silva avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cristian fails in his attempt to clinch.
Cristian misses with a few strikes there.
No joy there for Cristian, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Silva feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cristian's calf.

Cristian moves away from the strike by Silva.
Cristian closes the distance and clinches.
A frustrated look appears on Cristian's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Cristian wants to get back to striking at distance but Silva won't allow it.
Cristian jumps guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva wants to control from the top but Cristian keeps moving.
Silva is in close to Cristian's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva passes Cristian's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Cristian is looking to escape.
Cristian trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cristian manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Cristian on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Cristian gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Cristian wants to break free but Silva has control.
Cristian has had enough of the clinch but Silva keeps him there for the moment.
Silva ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Silva no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Cristian will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cristian would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Silva looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Silva's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Cristian has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Silva is proving hard to escape from.
Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cristian is one step ahead there.
Cristian wants to stand and escape but instead Silva has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Cristian wants to stand up but Silva is controlling him.

Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cristian swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cristian wants to get back to his feet.
Cristian makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Cristian has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Silva.
Daniel Cristian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cristian clinches up with Silva and pushes him back against the cage.
Silva breaks from the clinch.
Cristian drives through with a takedown into Silva's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Silva controls Cristian momentarily but Cristian frees himself.
Silva wants to sweep here but Cristian controlling him for the moment.
Cristian wanted to stand there but Silva had control of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We've been informed that Silva has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Cristian is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Silva is controlling him.

Silva prevents Cristian from getting back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cristian circles away quickly and effectively.
Cristian is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cristian throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.

and Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cristian's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Silva advances position into side control!
Silva has an Americana. Cristian didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Silva is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Silva hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Carlos Silva!
