Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrew G (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and anthony p (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew G!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, anthony p!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
G sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks p to the ground! G dives into full mount looking to finish!


p is rocked!


It looks like anthony p has been cut.
G has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of p's face.
p is still on wobbly legs! Can G finish him?
G looking to control but p is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
G with the ground and pound from mount.
The referee warns p that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
p is working to get back to half guard.
G postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. p looks a forlorn figure.


The has opened up anthony p's cut even more.
G unloading with bombs!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Poor strikes thrown by G there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
G lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.


The cut above anthony p's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
p is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
p seems to have recovered his senses.
G lands with some strikes.
G working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but p slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.
p gets back to full guard.
G is breathing heavily.

G postures up in p's guard and throws a big left but p blocks it.
G slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
G has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as G accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

p closes the distance and clinches.
G throws an elbow but it misses.
p drops down looking for an ankle pick but G pulls his leg out and moves away.

G closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - G lands in his opponent's guard.

p looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
G lands a couple of elbows.


anthony p's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
G loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

p throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
G landing with the ground and pound.
p is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

p is trying to control the position but G postures up.
G pushes down on p's leg and manages to get into half guard.
G thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
p tries to get to full guard but G has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
p keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
G wants to pass the guard but p is defending well.
G wants to stand up but p has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
G looks to clinch

and p decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in G's guard.
p trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
G doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
G is trying to keep p in close.

p avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
p sitting in guard here, content to control.
p passes G's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
p working the head and body with strikes.
G punching from the bottom.
G moves into full guard.
G wants to sweep but no luck.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
p slips nicely into half guard.
G is trying to stand back up but p is controlling him

p is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so G is just riding it out for now. p eventually gives up the hold.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrew G dominated that round.
The cut man is working on anthony p's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and p counters with a nice double leg into side control. G won't be happy with that.
G is looking to regain half guard here but p keeps moving and retains side control.
G is working hard here to advance position.
p moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

p decides to stand back up. p steps back and let's G get back to his feet.
G tries to clinch
and p counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
G shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and p counters with a nice body shot.

p shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in G's guard.
p in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
G tries to land a sweep but no joy.
anthony p has got the better of the ground game so far.
p is breathing heavily.
G keeping moving, preventing p from controlling successfully.
G wants to stand but p is controlling the position.

G manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Andrew G is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
G fails with the takedown
and p counters with an inside leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew G. That's going to take a lot out of him.

p shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in G's guard.

G manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
G throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for p because G loaded up on that one.

p tries to lock up and control but G gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

G throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
p is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
G with shots to the head and body - p looks very uncomfortable down there.

G jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… p is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by p and G has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
p manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
p flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
p looks like he's trying to stand up.

G not landing any meaningful shots this time.

p has one foot on G's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

G gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

G uses the cage to get back to his feet.
G shoots and misses

and p counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by p.
G can't keep his opponent in guard - p advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

p decides to stand up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

G gets caught flat footed, as p shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
p controls from within his opponent's guard.
p tries to free his leg and advance position but G is retaining full guard.
G looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

p sitting in guard here, content to control.
G is looking to stand up but p isn't so interested in that idea.

G on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
p seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but G does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
G wants to control but p is keeping busy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
G wants to improve his position but p is controlling well.
p tries to stand and escape but G is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

anthony p showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

G will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

p manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. G manages to get himself to full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
G is striking but p is not phased and passes to half guard.

p is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
G is trying to maintain the position but p is very close to passing his half guard.
p with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

p decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Good leg kick by p there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

G shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
G postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

G stands up over p, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

G decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
G looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? p is fending him off so far but G persists. Nope, p circles away and we're back to standing.

p instigates a clinch.
p wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
p blocks an elbow strike from G.
p jumps guard but G stands there with p around his waist. p gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

p is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

G is looking to stand back up but p counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by G.

G feints and as p raises his hands in defense, G changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

p avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

G throws a big right hand that misses.

p has a closed guard, preventing G from standing up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
G throws a leg kick but p sees it coming and checks it nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
G tries a head kick but it misses.

p shoots in and bounces G off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

p gets to his feet. G looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

And that's the end of the fight!
anthony p comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think p has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
