Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clark has chosen Alone by Falling in Reverse as his entrance music. The key to victory for Matthew Jones has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Anthony Clark has been cut.
Clark looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Clark has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A jab from Jones finds it's way through Clark's defenses.
Jones throws a looping overhand right but Clark ducks down to avoid it.
Clark darts in looking for a takedown but Jones gets double underhooks and turns Clark into the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Clark tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Clark somewhat.
Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Clark was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones.

Anthony Clark was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
