And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 wins, 2 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thorwald Govandekal!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bujol looks to score with a jab to the body but Govandekal is just out of range.
Bujol looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Nice sprawl there from Bujol as Govandekal shoots in.

Bujol clinches.

Bujol pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Govandekal tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bujol sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Govandekal somewhat.
Bujol is looking for a counter combo.
Bujol dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bujol wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Govandekal has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Govandekal is defended easily by Bujol.
Sergio Bujol has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thorwald Govandekal.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Govandekal's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bujol connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Govandekal scrambles back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bujol just misses with a punch to the body.
Bujol fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Govandekal.
Bujol scores with a hook to the body. Govandekal takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
A head kick misses from Govandekal.
Bujol connects with a crisp jab.
Bujol connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Bujol throws a one two combo.
Bujol cracks Govandekal with a good jab.

Govandekal is rocked!
Govandekal gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Bujol points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Govandekal wakes up just in time to hear Bujol thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sergio Bujol!
After winning the bout, Sergio Bujol thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
