Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derek Pangolinan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drake has chosen ACDC black ice - spoilin for a fight as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Danny Drake will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake scores with a three punch combo!

Pangolinan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Pangolinan drops back looking for a leg! Drake is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Drake manages to kick Pangolinan off! Pangolinan jumps back into Drake's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Drake can do anything to dispel that myth.
Pangolinan thows a big elbow that misses.

Drake really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pangolinan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pangolinan wants to pass the guard but Drake is keeping the position.
Pangolinan stands and throws Drake's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Pangolinan cracks Drake with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Drake is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Pangolinan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
