Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joe Reealopubo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Illidian Newsto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reealopubo comes to the cage accompanied by Chop Suey. The key to victory for Joe Reealopubo has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reealopubo clinches.
Newsto has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Reealopubo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Reealopubo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Newsto throws the kick towards the body but Reealopubo avoids it.
Reealopubo feinted with a counter takedown.
Reealopubo wants to clinch up but Newsto keeps it at a distance.

Newsto drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Reealopubo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Newsto has Reealopubo in his guard.


Newsto looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Newsto is looking for a triangle but Reealopubo pushes his legs off easily.
Reealopubo wants to stand but Newsto has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Reealopubo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Newsto has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Reealopubo has managed to get both his arms back between Newsto's legs - danger averted.

Reealopubo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Newsto can do to turn this around?

Newsto goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Reealopubo has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Newsto but great work by Reealopubo.

Newsto changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reealopubo tries to avoid it but Newsto manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reealopubo to the ground. Reealopubo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Reealopubo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Reealopubo has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Newsto to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Reealopubo is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Newsto pulls down on the head and he's put Reealopubo to sleep! This one is all over!
