Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Edward Scissorhands (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scissorhands kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is For Heavy Metal we will die!. Lopez has chosen Hurriganes - Get On as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scissorhands tries a head kick but it misses.
Lopez changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Crunch! Scissorhands slams his shin into Lopez's torso.

Lopez avoids the head kick by Scissorhands.
Scissorhands tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lopez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lopez tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Scissorhands lets loose with a powerful body kick. Lopez will feel that in the morning.

Scissorhands walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lopez checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Lopez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lopez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Lopez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Scissorhands has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lopez but great work by Scissorhands.
Lopez felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Lopez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Scissorhands, who protects the arm well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lopez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lopez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lopez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Scissorhands is just riding it out for now. Lopez eventually gives up the hold.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Scissorhands, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
