The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plouman shoots in looking for a takedown but Kunwar manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Plouman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Kunwar shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kunwar showed some decent athleticism there.
Plouman wants to improve his position but Kunwar is controlling well.

Kunwar is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Plouman sees it coming and defends easily.

Plouman drops back looking for a leg! Kunwar is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kunwar manages to kick Plouman off! Plouman jumps back into Kunwar's guard.

Plouman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Plouman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kunwar has his foot on Plouman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Plouman works his way back into a safe position though.

Plouman is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kunwar is surviving well by controlling Plouman's body position as best he can.

Plouman goes for an armbar but Kunwar turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Kunwar.

A close round but Mario Plouman will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Plouman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kunwar as he avoids it easily.
Bikram Kunwar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Plouman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kunwar defends well and Plouman ends up having to push Kunwar into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Kunwar feints and as Plouman raises his hands in defense, Kunwar changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kunwar wants to control from the top but Plouman keeps moving.

Plouman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kunwar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
