Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Everett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vance Grimm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grimm instigates a clinch.
Grimm tries a body shot but Everett blocks it.

Everett ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Everett no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Grimm throws a good cross that connects.

Grimm throws a strike but Everett rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Everett gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Everett gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Grimm to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Grimm must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Everett is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Grimm tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Everett manages to move to mount!

Everett lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Grimm wants to hold on but Everett pushes him away.

Everett breaks from Grimm's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Everett cracks Grimm with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Look low, kick high! Everett uses the oldest trick in the book to send Grimm tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Everett is absolutely delighted - when Grimm wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
