The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shevchenko shoots in looking for a takedown. Tremblay tries to sprawl out of it but Shevchenko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tremblay manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Shevchenko decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tremblay's guard.

We've been hearing that Shevchenko has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Shevchenko loads up on a big left hand. Tremblay felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Shevchenko looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Tremblay can't hide his disappointment, as Shevchenko celebrates the victory.
