The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikolaev lands a glancing blow to the side of Miller's head.
Miller looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Nikolaev tries to land a front kick but Miller steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Miller closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nikolaev circles away.

Nikolaev fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Miller to the ground. Nikolaev is now in Miller's guard.
Nikolaev keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Miller's head.
Miller is trying to control the position but Nikolaev postures up.

Miller felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
