PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrae Bryant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Claudio Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodrigues has chosen Weight of my Pride as his entrance music. Claudio Rodrigues will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Claudio Rodrigues!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bryant darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bryant wants to control but Rodrigues is keeping him busy.
Bryant stalling away here and it's allowed Rodrigues to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bryant stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rodrigues swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bryant is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Rodrigues shoots in and gets a takedown into Bryant's guard.

Bryant has his foot on Rodrigues's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rodrigues works his way back into a safe position though.

Rodrigues blocks Bryant's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Bryant is trying to reverse the position but instead Rodrigues has taken his back - oops!

Rodrigues has managed to slip his arm under Bryant's chin. This could be all over... yep, Bryant is tapping out! Submission win for Rodrigues.

Claudio Rodrigues tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
