The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shinya sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Shinya decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Jonson is trying to escape back to his feet but Shinya uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shinya in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Shinya's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shinya has hold of Jonson 's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jonson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Shinya cranks the arm and Jonson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jonson , who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
