Ciuchten misses with a body shot
and Ross counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ross's coach down at Land of the Rising Fun was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ross's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Ciuchten shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ross defends it nicely.
Ciuchten fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ross avoids it really well and circles away.
Ross throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ciuchten.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ciuchten fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ross, pushing him back against the cage.

Kingen Ciuchten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ciuchten tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ross sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ciuchten somewhat.
Ciuchten throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ross throws a series of punches but Ciuchten moves out of range.

Ross looks to land a left hand but Ciuchten moved out of range nicely.
Ciuchten appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Ciuchten throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Good leg kick by Ciuchten there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ross is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

It seemed like Ross was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Ciuchten looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Ross gets caught napping as Ciuchten dives in and scores a takedown. Ross manages to retain guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ciuchten is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Ciuchten drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Ciuchten seems to have locked his on tight now - Ross screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Ciuchten, as he picks up the win!
