The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright misses with the combination.
OShae looks for a takedown but Wright sprawls well.

Wright has taken the fight to the clinch.
OShae goes for a takedown attempt but Wright pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

OShae fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wright sprawls well initially but OShae persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wright is refusing to be controlled, as OShae sits in half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
OShae wants to advance to full mount but Wright doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Wright working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. OShae doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. OShae manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
OShae rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wright moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as OShae accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Wright is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst OShae is controlling him.

OShae is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

OShae shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than OShae was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wright tries to hold on but OShae pushes him away.
OShae takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
OShae lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Wright is in a horrible position here. OShae smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
You get the feeling that Wright really doesn't like being in this position too much.
