Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Schuman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devin Tucker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Devin Tucker is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Schuman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Devin Tucker!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schuman throws a body kick that misses.
Tucker has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Schuman is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Tucker closes this distance looking for a takedown but Schuman circles away.
Tucker misses with a takedown
and Schuman counters with a three punch combo that has Tucker backing up. Tucker nods at Schuman to acknowledge the strikes.
Schuman fails with the takedown.
Schuman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Tucker holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Schuman jumps into guard, dragging Tucker to the mat.
Tucker stops Schuman from standing up.

Schuman looking for a sweep. Not yet Schuman, not yet.

Tucker stands and steps away. Schuman gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Tucker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Schuman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Schuman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tucker as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Schuman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tucker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Schuman shoots for a double leg takedown but Tucker sprawls well. He's pushed Schuman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tucker moves out of range of the body kick.
Schuman darts in trying to clinch
and Tucker counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

letting Tucker counter with a right hand.

Schuman has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Tucker has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Tucker lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tucker seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Tucker closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Schuman did well to prevent Tucker getting side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tucker is taking a breather. Schuman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Tucker is continuing to stall.

As Schuman backs off Tucker throws a huge counter combo but Schuman manages to avoid it all.
Tucker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Schuman avoids it really well and circles away.
Schuman seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Tucker drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Schuman trying his best to control but Tucker has mounted him.
Tucker lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Schuman really wants to buck Tucker off and get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Tucker cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Tucker goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Schuman is on top in guard.

Tucker has his foot on Schuman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Schuman works his way back into a safe position though.
Schuman won't allow Tucker to sweep him here.

Tucker pulls Schuman in close to prevent any damage.

Devin Tucker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Schuman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Tucker throws a series of strikes that have Schuman backpedaling.


It looks like Frank Schuman has been cut.
Schuman misses with a double jab.
Schuman connects with a leg kick. Tucker looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Schuman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Schuman can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tucker controls the pace.
The adventures of Tucker the control monster continue. Boring.
Tucker cracks Schuman with a solid left hand.

Tucker gets to his feet. Schuman looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
The fight stays on the outside here - Schuman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Schuman throws a head kick that misses

and Tucker counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Schuman!
Tucker scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Schuman to see if he's OK.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Tucker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Schuman, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Tucker is looking to take a break and control but Schuman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Tucker is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Schuman's shoulder. That is not cool.
Schuman is pushing Tucker's head away, looking to escape. Tucker manages to hold on to the position though.
Frank Schuman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Tucker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
