Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Larry Bird!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Bird tries to reverse the position but Carter maintains control.
Carter takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Bird is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Carter locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Bird is forced to tap!
