Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Everett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nigel Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Everett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nigel Morris!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Everett moves into the clinch.
Everett is trying to pull guard but Morris turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Morris has hold of one of Everett's legs. Everett is fighting the takedown attempt but Morris gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Morris not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Morris throwing strikes but missing.
Everett keeping moving, preventing Morris from controlling successfully.
Morris preventing the sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Everett working a defensive guard here.
Morris throws a big elbow that misses.

Morris wants to control from the top but Everett keeps moving.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Morris engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Morris clinches with his opponent.
Everett tries to pull guard but Morris holds him up against the cage and eventually Everett drops back down to his feet.

Morris wants the takedown. Everett is fighting it off but Morris persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Everett's guard against the cage.

Morris trying to control but Everett is working from the bottom.

Morris gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Morris changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Everett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Morris swings around for an armbar but Everett sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Morris's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Morris wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morris is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Everett dives into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Everett stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Morris bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Everett tries to buck Morris off but Morris is having none of it.
Morris working away.
Everett is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morris wants to take a breather but Everett manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Morris.
Everett might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Morris pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Everett is keeping the position for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Morris wants to control from the top but Everett keeps moving.
Everett trying to keep a closed guard but Morris is proving a slippery customer.
Morris trying to control but Everett is working from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Everett is on top in guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Nigel Morris will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Everett pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Morris dives in and scores a takedown into Everett's guard.
Everett is pulling down on Morris's head. It's preventing any offense from Morris, at least for the moment.
Morris slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Morris throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Everett works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Everett pulls Morris in close to prevent any damage.
Morris wants to control from the top but Everett keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Morris is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Morris gets to his feet. Everett looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Morris shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Everett manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Morris keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Everett pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Everett gets tackled into the cage by Morris. Morris maintains the clinch.

Morris gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Everett manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Morris manages to get himself to full guard.

Everett is working Morris over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Everett controls from within his opponent's guard.
Everett could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Everett stopping the sweep attempt from Morris.

Morris keeping moving, preventing Everett from controlling successfully.
Everett wants to stand but Morris is controlling his posture from full guard.
Everett stands up over Morris, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Morris is trying to hold Everett in close to prevent damage but Everett has managed to pass into half guard.
Morris wants to control but Everett passes into side.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The ground and pound from Everett seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Morris is trying to control Everett's posture but Everett avoids it.
Everett slips into full mount, dodging the strikes by Morris.
Morris is desperately trying to improve his position but Everett has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Morris wants to hold on but Everett pushes him away.
Everett landing strikes, looking to finish!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Everett dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Morris shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Morris misses with a head shot. Everett uses the momentum to regain guard.
Morris is looking to work some ground and pound but Everett has wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Everett is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Jason Everett overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Everett trying to keep a closed guard but Morris is proving a slippery customer.

Morris is looking to stand up but Everett won't let him.
Everett throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Everett is looking to clinch.
Morris will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Morris closes the distance and pushes Everett back into the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Everett fails to pull guard.

Morris breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Morris shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Everett manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Morris trying to control but Everett is working from the bottom.
Everett looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Morris throws a strike but Everett rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


That's three minutes gone in the round.
Morris bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Everett's guard.

Everett not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Morris is stalling in the full guard.
Morris trying to control but Everett is working from the bottom.
Everett seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Morris postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Everett keeping full guard, as Morris tries to pass.
Morris wants to control from the top but Everett keeps moving.
Morris loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Morris wants to stand and escape but instead Everett has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Morris is trying to keep Everett in close.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nigel Morris comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Morris has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
