Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pantera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ruiz tries to avoid it but Pantera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ruiz to the ground. Ruiz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
An attempted straight right counter from Ruiz misses the target.
Ruiz moves into the clinch.
Ruiz is struggling to control the position.
Pantera drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ruiz pulls guard effortlessly.
Ruiz throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Ruiz lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pantera wants to sweep but no luck.
Ruiz won't allow Pantera to get back to his feet.

Pantera is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Ruiz dives into side control.
Pantera tries to bench press Ruiz off him but Ruiz keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pantera seems a little lost for a moment, as Ruiz dominates the positioning.
Ruiz looks up at the clock and then as Pantera takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ruiz smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
You can see the frustration on Pantera's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ruiz wants to control but Pantera is keeping him busy.

Pantera tries to buck Ruiz off but Ruiz is having none of it.
Pantera manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Ruiz controlling the pace.
Ruiz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pantera doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ruiz.
Ruiz is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ruiz wants to clinch up but Pantera keeps it at a distance.

Pantera drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ruiz gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Scotty Ruiz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elazar Pantera.

Ruiz is trying to hold Pantera in close to prevent damage but Pantera has managed to pass into half guard.
Pantera is looking to take a break and control but Ruiz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Pantera cracks Ruiz with a big right hand but Ruiz just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Ruiz is rocked!
A big shot lands for Pantera! That's hurt Ruiz! Will he recover? Pantera fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Elazar Pantera!
In his post fight interview, Elazar Pantera started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
