The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanderhose lands a slapping body shot.
Vanderhose lands a body shot.
Vanderhose looks to land a combination. Bigsbee sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Bigsbee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Vanderhose lands a two punch combo.
Bigsbee stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Vanderhose.
Bigsbee throws a lazy right hand but Vanderhose sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Vanderhose digs a good hook to Bigsbee's body.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Bigsbee gets caught flat footed, as Vanderhose shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Vanderhose content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Vanderhose sitting in guard here, content to control.
Bigsbee wants to sweep here but Vanderhose controlling him for the moment.

Vanderhose is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Vanderhose is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Bigsbee is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vanderhose is aware though and is defending well.
Vanderhose knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bigsbee on the ground.
Vanderhose landing with the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vanderhose controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Bigsbee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vanderhose gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Vanderhose definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Bigsbee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Vanderhose controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Vanderhose has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Bigsbee to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Vanderhose is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Bigsbee pulls down on the head and he's put Vanderhose to sleep! This one is all over!

Casper Vanderhose spoke after the fight, saying 'Perhaps a better game plan next time, huh coach?'.
