Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gunnar Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Boy Cojuangco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson comes into the arena with mama said knock you out blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cojuangco shoots in looking for a takedown. Nelson tries to sprawl out of it but Cojuangco keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nelson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nelson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Nelson stuffs the takedown.
Cojuangco shoots in looking for a takedown but Nelson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cojuangco's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Gunnar Nelson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Boy Cojuangco.
Cojuangco dives in and grabs Nelson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nelson pushes down on Cojuangco's head and hops out.
Cojuangco changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nelson tries to avoid it but Cojuangco manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nelson to the ground. Nelson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cojuangco is defended easily by Nelson.
Nelson went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

As Cojuangco looks to move away, Nelson throws a big counter combo but Cojuangco just gets out of the way.
Cojuangco is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

No luck for Cojuangco with that takedown attempt.
It looked like Nelson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Gunnar Nelson really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Machiavelli Boutique logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
