Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ash Hole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thaddeus Reese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ash Hole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thaddeus Reese!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reese tries to clinch there but Hole circles away.
Reese is looking to clinch but Hole is avoiding it.
Reese fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hole keeps the fight on the outside.
Reese blocks a head kick by Hole.
The fight stays on the outside here - Reese looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hole moves out of range as Reese throws a body kick.
Hole shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Reese as he jumps to the side.
Reese fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hole misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hole looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reese is fending him off so far but Hole persists. Nope, Reese circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reese looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hole!
Reese wants to control but Hole has made it back to half guard. Nice work.

Reese is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Hole is looking to control Reese's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hole avoid being mounted?
Reese is keen to just control but Hole is a slippery customer.
Hole gets full guard.
Reese trying to control but Hole is working from the bottom.
Hole has momentary wrist control but Reese slips an elbow through the middle.
Reese throws a big right hand that misses.
Reese looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
I looks like Reese might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Hole is trying to control the position but Reese postures up.
Reese wants to control from the top but Hole keeps moving.
Hole bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Reese's guard.

Reese is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Hole throwing strikes from guard but Reese blocks nicely.

Hole stands and steps away. Reese gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Hole fails with the takedown

and Reese counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ash Hole. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hole is breathing heavily.
Reese has had enough of the clinch but Hole keeps him there for the moment.

Hole shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Reese is trying to stand back up but Hole is controlling him

Reese makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Reese moves in looking to clinch but Hole pushes him off.
Reese is looking to clinch.
Reese keeps the fight on the outside.
Hole keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

so Hole counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hole passes Reese's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Hole trying to control from half guard but Reese is working away.
Reese wants to control but Hole is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ash Hole dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Reese shoots for a double leg takedown but Hole sprawls well. He's pushed Reese's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Reese tries to clinch but Hole moves away

and Hole counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hole.

Reese throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Hole pulls guard effortlessly.
Reese throwing strikes but missing.

Hole is working an open guard so Reese takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Hole shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Reese looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Reese thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hole wants to control from the top but Reese keeps moving.

Reese has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hole can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ash Hole overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Reese looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Hole wants to stand but Reese has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hole trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Hole won't allow Reese to sweep him here.
Hole postures up.
Hole trying to stand up but can't free himself from Reese's guard.
Hole loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Reese tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Hole counters by clinching up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Reese pushes Hole back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Hole goes for a takedown in the clinch but Reese prevents it.

Reese gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Reese is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hole is just riding it out for now. Reese eventually gives up the hold.
Reese working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Hole gets full guard.

Reese wants to control from the top but Hole keeps moving.
Hole looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Reese stands up from Hole's guard - Reese perhaps looking for a knockout.
Reese misses with a low kick as Hole jumps back.
Reese avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hole circles away from the clinch attempt

and Hole counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ash Hole will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Hole misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hole lands with a nice combination. Reese backs away looking to recover.
Hole wants to clinch up but Reese keeps it at a distance.
Hole throws a nice outside leg kick.
Hole chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Reese can pounce on him.
Hole shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Reese counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Reese trying to control the position from guard on top but Hole is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Reese is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hole wants to sweep but no luck.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Reese looking to pass the guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Reese drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reese jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hole is on top in guard.
Hole wanted to stand there but Reese had control of the position.

Hole is sitting in close to Reese's body. Reese has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Hole is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Hole is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Reese.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Thaddeus Reese!
