Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesper Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and normal guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jesper Rogers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
guy misses with the combination.
Nice takedown defense from Rogers. No joy for guy on that attempt.

Rogers closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
guy is looking to break free of the clinch but Rogers has double underhooks.
Rogers gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like normal guy has been cut.
Rogers unloads a knee to the mid-section. guy lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
guy fails to pull guard.

guy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Rogers with that takedown attempt.
guy throws a nice looking combination but Rogers bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rogers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but guy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
guy misses with a double jab
and Rogers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rogers.

Rogers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Rogers drops back looking for a leg! guy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and guy manages to kick Rogers off! Rogers jumps back into guy's guard.
Rogers lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Rogers is working guy over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Rogers thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Rogers not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
guy tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rogers working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Rogers is pushing down on guy's leg trying to pass to half guard. guy is fighting to maintain full guard but Rogers has managed to sneak the leg through.

Rogers seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
guy is not content to let Rogers control the position.

Rogers is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rogers is breathing heavily.
Rogers wants to pass the guard but guy is defending well.
guy keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Rogers wants to free his trapped foot but guy is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Rogers is keen to just control but guy is a slippery customer.
Rogers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
guy avoids the body shot from Rogers.
guy looks to throw a body kick
and Rogers counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
guy misses with a series of wild punches.
Rogers does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

guy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rogers is looking to clinch but guy is avoiding it.
guy lands a head kick!
guy circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rogers dodges the punch combination from guy.

Rogers closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rogers lands some shots froms side control.
guy taking a bit of punishment here - Rogers scoring with strikes.
Rogers lands a decent elbow from side control.
Rogers just content to control the position.
guy manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

guy wants to free his trapped foot but Rogers is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Rogers has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. guy is working away from the top position though.
Rogers tries to kick guy off but guy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rogers is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of guy's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take guy's back!

guy won't enjoy being in this position. Rogers looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - guy is tapping - it's over boys! Rogers picks up the submission victory!
